Host is Ty Pennington, formerly of Trading Spaces, I think.

They pick a very deserving but cash-strapped family. In one week they send the family on a vacation and completely rebuild and refurnish the house. It's amazing what they do in a week. Tempers flare! Slackers beware! Exhaustion rules! :D

Damn if those houses don't look like they belong in House Beautiful aftwards. :D

Last night, they did a house in Watts that had been flood damaged. Not only that they gave the entire neighborhood new beds, complete landscaping, help with broken appliances and the like, and I think some outside painting.
