"Olive Garden applies for building permit in East Anchorage"

Olive Garden Italian Restaurant, a popular chain Outside, applied this week for a building permit for a restaurant in the Tikahtnu Commons mall in East Anchorage, says a city building official.

But Cook Inlet Region Inc., partner in ownership of the mall, is not ready to confirm Olive Garden is coming.

"All I can say is we've been in ongoing talks with Olive Garden," said CIRI spokesman Jim Jager. "At this point I don't have a deal to announce."

He said he hopes to announce later this month final deals with both a restaurant and a "junior anchor" -- a store smaller than Target or Kohl's but bigger than a shop.

:P We are somebody!

We have an Olive Garden. I read they are putting a Pit Bull breeding farm next to it.
