You used a very specific legal term with a very specific legal meaning. Under strict liability people who send out spam in your name (which is what happened in my example) make you liable virtually no matter what. If you didn't know what the term meant that isn't my fault it is yours. If you did and posted what you just did that makes you dishonest (which is also your fault). I was pointing out the logical conclusion of your theory. If you don't like it then change your theory.

What happened here is that Dean hired people, told them not to do something, and fired them when they did it. Rational people call that holding people accountable.
