11. I thought that election deadlines were the
most sancrosanct of laws upheld by the Republicans. Witness 2000. Witness Torricelli. Huh. Maybe they are evil hypocrites.

Electronic voting worries me quite a bit, too. One thing we have to do is to fight it, and also to keep as much polling going on before the election so that when the results are wildly disproportionate to the results (let's hope this doesn't happen), they are hard pressed to explain it away.

As far as pushing the convention back, I think they just don't want it to interfere with Bush's August Vacation (TM).
