FYI. No money from royalties either way! However, pruchase from campaign means profit margin to campaign rather than book seller.

Slight clarification – I called in to double check some of the
information I presented a little while ago:

All royalties from the book, whether it is purchased from Amazon,
another bookseller or the National campaign, go to the non-profit
for the establishment of a Department of Peace. Period. Neither
Dennis nor the Campaign make ANY money from the royalties.

Where the campaign makes money from the sales of the book is that
we bought them wholesale and make the regular profit that a
bookstore would make on the sale. So, if you want to add to the
campaign coffers, then buying from the campaign helps us instead
of Amazon or Powell's.

None of that changes the fact that for whatever the
technicalities are, Dennis could not have gone on Oprah to
promote the book.

People can still try to get the book on the bestseller list…
nothing is stopping that and gosh knows Dennis would love it and
the world would be better for it.

The campaign simply cannot promote it in the way most of us wish
we could. Campaign election laws are complex. I certainly am no
expert and have to defer to what I understand is the opinions of
the legal staff. I know that when I mentioned it in the
Volunteer Newsletter, I was told I could not do that.

You all are the absolute best – I just wanted you to know what I
(believe) I know and the reason for encouraging the purchasing of
the book through the campaign.
