Dude that would be using logic. But the doomers are NEVER wrong. They just 'update' their models and keep pushing out the date for ultimate doom, and talk about how they need more money to study the problem.

Even if the 1.6m rise came to pass (which is the extreme upper limit of the predicted range) I think society can cope with a 1.6 cm (i.e., 0.6 inches) rise per year and slowly adjust and relocate in an orderly fashion. Certainly NOT "the end of life as we know it" on a planetary scale.
