8. I'm pretty sure the current spike of investment in alternative energy
(by many large corporations and the Chinese govt.) is because of the increasing price of oil - and the reason for that price increase is not global warming. This would be happening even if global warming would not be an issue.

Sheik Ahmed Zaki Yamani is wrong; stones don't run out, oil does. The Oil Age will end for lack of oil.

But that aside, i agree with Gore that decentralized energy production is the way of the future.
