When you've spent much time,energy, reams of paper, and untold quadrillions of electrons proclaiming that "more guns equals
more crime", you tend to lose much credibility when
the opposite happens.
You lose even more when one of the main members of your group rates the safety of a locality
on the wording of its gun laws, ignoring the actual violent crime and murder rates in said locale.
Many of these are very thoughtful intelligent people with very high IQs and I'm not sure I would want to get into an argument with them
.
They may be "very thoughtful intelligent people with very high IQs", but if they are
demonstrably wrong about something, and because of that error seek to infringe the rights of others, why then I will get into an argument with
them. Being smart and/or being the victim of a tragedy doesn't convey infallibility.
