1. This will continue to simmer as an issue till the next legislative session....
if it succeeds, it will be as a result of the increased numbers of persons who have obtained Concealed Handgun Licenses (CHL), who are discovering the difficulties of making sure - as Texas law currently requires - that their firearms never be even accidentally revealed such as when entering or exiting a vehicle and needing to take off/put on a jacket for concealment (it get hot down here, and wearing a jacket in the car is uncomfortable) or face a class A misdemeanor charge and loss of CHL privileges.
