you don't give "any ass who wants it" a license to carry a firearm. There is something called a background check that eliminates the overwhelming majority of those "asses".
Yes there are a few accidents that occur in restaurants but your chances of being in a restaurant when someone drops their firearm and it fires is far less than your chances of winning the lotto. Your chances of getting injured by a bullet from that gun are even less.
You have rights. You can vote people into office who will repeal concealed carry in your state. If it is such a problem, you should have less trouble getting it repealed than those you got the law passed in the first place.
