Whereas you have declaratively stated that more guns on campus would allow school shootings to occur (the kind that we currently have an 'epidemic' of on our gun free campuses)
So to prevent something from happening you proposing extending the conditions under which it is occuring.
Like saying we need to reduce American causalities in Iraq by keeping our troops there, because yes while all casualties occur when we have troops there it might somehow be worse if we pull them out.
