also I worked for OPM in PA..(that's a whole other story related to politics and why I left. talk about Bush fanatics!)
It's an underground mine that happens to handle the security clearances for the government and white house(being some Yankee white cases. It's basically a bunker with miles and miles of tunnels ( I wasn't working there at the time 9/11 happened. If you have any interest in Abu Ghraib some of those civil workers were sent there without clearances we were told to shut up about it. Want to talk about conspiracy!) I asked people who had been there during that time what happened that day. I'm a naturally curious person I guess. I make it a point to ask a lot of questions.
Apparently The national guard surrounded the mountain and stood with rifles armed. I don't believe they were there to protect paper. Or Walt Disney archives (which happens to be there too)
Those that worked there were sent home early for security reasons. It was also said that some bigwig (never named) was flown in to take refuge there. (hence why it was shut down and everyone sent home)

I always wondered who that person was. Cheney? Bush? Some others? Who was a no show that day, when we all stood there vulnerable without leadership? Connie? Rummy? Barney the dog?

I'd like to know what they were doing that day.
