The largest minority group!

Please forgive me if this is not politically correct. I really do care and in no way want to offend anyone. Several years ago there was a report published saying that Spanish speaking American's would outnumber white American's within the next few years. By the time the next election comes around they will no longer be a minority. This includes Mexican American, Puerto Rican Americans, Cuban Americans, etc. I believe, if you look at Bush's recent appointee, Karl Rove has directed him to go after that vote for the next election. Why aren't the Dems making a concerted effort to appeal to these specific voter's in larger numbers? I realize we do try to appeal to them, but not as much as we should. The main religion practiced among these groups is Catholicism, at least I think that is the case. I know several, specifically, Mexican Americans that are Catholic and I also know that Catholics don't all follow their priest's and pope's every word. They tend to be free-thinkers despite what the pope commands of them. Any thoughts? Again, please forgive me if i wasn't politically correct in my wording.
