On Sept 10, 2001 half the country still believed the idiot son of a bitch was illegitimate and a recount was about to be released that named Gore as the clear winner in Florida.

Coincidence? Yeah, right......

Probably not their primary reason for planning/allowing the slaughter of 3000 Americans, but the timing was certainly convenient. And it does fit the pattern of what they have done ever since, creating some sort of real or imagined "crisis" every time they are about to get bad press.
