I've heard him several times in interviews and he's never mentoned that. I think you have to know how surprising (shocking to the GOP, actually) it was that DeLay had to spend millions defending a seat he thought he could just win without any effort, not to mention DeLay was also forced to do some retail campaigning in Texas <horrors!>.

If a winning record in illegally-redistricted Texas is your only yardstick of success,
I don't think any candidate running for the DNC Chair could have done better than Frost against DeLay and the GOP meatgrinder there.

Instead of looking at this one point, why not admire his term as DCCC Chair, where he was the winningest in DNC history? That's more of a experiential corollary though making DeLay work to win his seat is evidence that Martin Frost struck a chord in a very-red district. He's also got a pretty good record of issues-voting.

I support Dean as DNC Chair for obvious reasons but I think Frost has alot of ground experience he can bring to the fold. I am praying that they become Co-Chairs!
