Muddy Waters wannabe not Robert Plant

He will make some unpopular decisions, then he will explain why he made them on principal, and the DUers will say "Hey, I don't agree, but I'm OK with that."

He's media savvy, but he also has character. We need that. He's barely left of center, but he sees both sides, and we need that too.

Politics is full of compromise, but some Democrats get DU pilloried because their principals sometimes seem buried, and they never feel the need to explain themselves.

Plus, I doubt Howard's wife will ever get mixed up in any conflict-of-interest lobbying group. Her patients come first.
