Gaertner said he had difficulties bringing charges against Cline because in Michigan, there is no human torture statute.
He said could not charge Cline with attempted murder, because he never tried to kill her.
"He continuously revives her because she's of no use to him if she's dead," Gaertner said.

States and municipalities don't have laws against this type of thing for the simple reason that they have not seen the need for such laws.

Deliberate torture of another human being is beyond comprehension for a civilized person.

But, Our Glorious Leader & his Attorney General Alberto Gonzales believe that torture is a necessary and valuable part of our foreign policy.

Prosecutors in Michigan will do their damnedest to put their torture suspect behind bars for life. The President in Washington will give his torturers a medal.
