and the last thing politicians want is to be accountable to the citizens of this country for their actions.

why if this sort of thing was encouraged, who knows who would be Sheehanned" next?

maybe those who lose everything in bankruptcy hearings would demand to speak with joe biden.

or those who lose a loved one to lung cancer brought about by tobacco smoking would demand to talk to congreessmen who take campaign donations from phillip morris.

or those who have lung dieases from asbestos would want to talk to dick cheney and halliburton's role in the lawsuits about it.

we just can not have accountability or the whole system that allows the rich to rape the rest of us would crumble.
