Kay Allen had never attended an anti-war rally, had never even held a picket sign until Wednesday night on Fountain Square. What's happening to anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan, who's camped out a few miles from President Bush's Texas ranch, motivated Allen to act. "She's just sitting there praying and crying," the Montgomery resident said of Sheehan. "All Bush has to do is talk to her two minutes and he'd neutralize her, but he won't do it, he's too proud."

Allen said she has already telephoned local law officers and FBI officials in Texas to demand they do more to protect Sheehan.

She even tried to speak with the man who attached pipes and chains to the back of his pickup truck before driving into Sheehan's group and knocking over wooden crosses they had set up.

Allen said she plans to leave for Texas Friday and spend a few days protesting with Sheehan.
