It seems like the Bushevicks had their fingers crossed that the storm surge would do the job. But the storm dissapated and the city was safe. And hence there was no poll bounce to be had for Bush something as 'mundane' as a hurricane.

I seriously doubt the storm caused those levees to breach. The strom was passed. These weren't podunk river levees. Those were VERY seriously engineered levees that were meant to hold that lake back permanently.

A couple sticks of dynamite in the middle of the night should have done the job. No doubt done by people with Elephants on their lapels.

The Busheviks did everything they could to provoke a terrorist accident by crippling anti-terrorism activities. Why not help along a natural disaster that didn't deliver the punch they were expecting?
