Dont get me wrong, Warner is my guy in '08 and Im confident enough to say I dont see a single Republican nominee who can beat him. But a Warner - Allen matchup would be close.

Allen is a pretty strong campaigner. He was way behind Mary Sue Terry early in his Gubernatorial bid, and he stormed back and killed her. Then he sliced and diced Chuck Robb. He is an electoral bad-ass.
