His new book is America at the Crossroads: Democracy, Power, and the Neoconservative Legacy. He is also the director of the International Development Program at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC, where he is also the Bernard L. Schwartz Professor of International Political Economy
