27. The problem is

that if people go down on bended knee they will not do what is effective... (and yes I am about to piss off a lot of religious people), but Marx was right... Religion is truly the opium of the masses.

That said, if people dropped down on bended knee and DID something to bring the troops home I'd have a lot less of a problem with it... and for God sakes I do believe in a creative force, just NOT one that intervenes in human history... a stray extra electron, big bang, four billion later here we are.
