13. Tarrant County (Fort Worth) is still relatively safe GOP territory
This young Bush is playing his hand well. Fort Worth is now the safest GOP territory in the Lone Star State.

Dallas County just saw a lot of GOP judges and small officeholders get the boot in favor of Democrats. Dallas County, Bexar (pronounced "Bear", y'all) County which is San Antonio, and Harris County (Houston) are all trending back toward Democratic control. Travis County (Austin) is already Democratic. Tarrant County is supposed to stay Republican for years and years after the other large urban counties turn blue.

So, for an ambitious young Bush scion, Tarrant County is the place to be. Unfortunately for him, the Republican tide seems to rolling OUT now even in Tarrant County. Slowly, slowly...but it's not kind of trend that a young Republican would hope for.
