 Of course, some media outlets had him lower. Not that Kerry didn't make some major mistakes. But Bush was nowhere near as unpopular then as he is today, and although his approval ratings fell to around the low 40s in some polls around late April/May of '04, they had rebounded by June (for whatever reason) and typically stayed in the upper 40s or low 50s. |
