12. Oh, puhleeze
:nopity:

Nader's not insulting the netroots.

He's saying that our election system is corrupted by money. Do you disagree?

"Presidential politics has been broken for a long time. The two parties have been broken. They need a wake-up call. They need somebody to hold their feet to the fire," he says.
...

Nader says today that presidential hopefuls must raise hundreds of millions of dollars to be competitive.

Sorry, but only losers focus their wrath on Nader. It enables them to avoid confronting the actual issues, such as a corrupted election system. Much easier to just create a boogie man and wring your hands worrying about what he's going to say next.

We didn't lose because of Nader, but we reveal ourselves to be losers if we spend all our time trying to demonize him. I've always voted Democratic. I have worked hard for Democratic candidates in countless campaigns. I've never voted for Nader. But I am not angry at Ralph. Nor am I afraid of him. Nader is a symptom of a party that is alienating its base. And we ignore this symptom at our peril.

How nice for you to have your own Emmanuel Goldstein to obsess about.
