13. The math on Geneology is interesting
You have 2 parents
You have 4 grandparents
8 great grandparents
16 great-great grandparents
32 great-great-great grandparents
64 (6 generations back)
128 (7 generations back)
256 (8 generations back)
512 (9 generations back)
1024 (10 generations back)
2048 (11 generations back)
4196 (12 generations back)
8K (13 generations back)
16K (14 generations back)
32K (15 generations back)
64K (16 generations back)
128K (17 generations back)
256K (18 generations back)
512K (19 generations back)
1 million (20 generations back)

Now, given a very conservative estimate of 30 years per generation, this means that 600 years ago, you had over 1 million relatives feeding into your bloodline. ONE MILLION. In only 600 years. Think about it. If you can't believe it, just study the above numbers again.

Take it even farther, and 30 generations ago (900 years) you had over 1 BILLION relatives. There weren't even 1 billion people on the earth 900 years ago.

Everybody is related to everybody, if you go back far enough.
