Getting angry at the posters who have difficulty with this turn of events isn't very compassionate, either, IMO. There are lots of arguments put forth about Obama that are picky bullshit (Oooh, should Obama wear his flag pin to placate people? Why fuck no!) but this isn't picky bullshit. It just isn't.

It's ten percent of the country that he's, by association with a gay hating asswipe, disrespecting. Yo--GAY PEOPLE--pay NO attention while I hang around with this gay-hating asshole...I don't REALLY mean it, nudge, wink--I'm just trolling for votes amongst the stupid Holy Haters....get it?? That sort of thing is the opposite of behavior with integrity. It's ... opportunistic. Sleazy.

Can he recover? Sure. EASILY. Plenty of time.

He started on the path to recovery with that statement he made. He needs to go further, parse less, speak plainly more. And dump that fucker from his gospel tour, NOW.

After he's done, he needs to fire that asshole of a "religious advisor" he has on staff. I hope that guy wasn't WELL paid for his "work"--I'm guessing some of those gays who donated to Obama might want their money back, rather than have it go to that tone-deaf clown.
