A "do-nothing" Congress - Dem controlled vs Repuke controlled - historical perspective ...

It occurred to me ...

In the late 90s, the Repukes effectively shut down the work of the people ... Congress came to a dead stop to impeach the last Dem president.

Rush Limbaugh giddily took the air and said that the economy was going great ... BECAUSE THE CONGRESS WASN'T DOING ANYTHING. Mind you, if someone even exercised one brain cell, he or she would see the fallacy of his glee ... that the fact that Repukes weren't doing anything was BENEFICIAL to the economy.

Now, you have a Dem-led Congress, stalled due to the filibusters of the Republicans and the vetoes of the President ...

and the economy is faltering ...

The conclusion I come from this, if you can "intellectually follow" me, is that a working Dem Congress is a good thing, while a working Repuke Congress is horrendous and devastating to the nation.
