2. I am very troubled by Hillary's 50% negatives
since that necessitates a VERY close and dangerous race. Dems should seek a candidate who can rally the country, 55% being a rallying point. Edwards would have the best chance of that considering his populist views and moderate social status. Obama as PREZ nominee would polarize the GOP into their Southern Strategy revised for '08, leading to another very nasty election season, reducing turnout, and giving the GOP their best (only) shot at keeping the White House.
