9. I remember as well.
I was so disappointed.

I also recall in the interim John walking a tightrope when discussing the Kerry/Edwards campaign run. He didn't come right out and diss anyone but made it clear that he was very unhappy with decisions made for their campaign.

Now, on one hand we can be disappointed that, if he wanted to do things differently, he didn't pitch a fit and do what he felt was right. On the other hand, when you sign on for second place, how much of a voice do you realistically have?

I think that was a huge, huge learning process for him, as well it should have been.

There is a lot of slamming that could be done based on his VP run and even his time in the Senate. Other than the Fortress issue - which still needs to be more fully addressed - I admire everything he has been doing SINCE that time.

Live and learn. I'm sure the other candidates have learned things the hard way as well.
