I think the paper has known for a long time what a crook he is. When the Kerik felonies came to light years ago, the News was all over it. They also gave a lot of favorable publicity to the rescue workers and firefighters who were talking about the their very serious issues with him.

It's a crappy paper, but it takes no prisoners when they come across people who cross New Yorkers. And they clearly see the Rudy is not someone who is on the side of the people of this great city.

America's mayor my ass.
