"Obama voted for the Patriot act and said he didn't know how he would vote on the IWR. They're all the same, they're all good. The questions is who can win. any of them could under specific scenarios. I just think right now the election day scenario would favor clinton."

... I am glad that someone spoke up about the IWR issue.

Obama could have played it far differently when he was asked about Bill's accusations. He did mention that the statement that he didn't know what he would do if he had been faced with the decision was when he was trying to defend Kerry. But instead of essentially saying he backpedaled in order not to badmouth the Democratic nominee, he could have said something like this:

"And I really don't know what I would have done. No one knows what they would do until they are placed in that position. When I was in a position to vote on the Iraq war funding, I was faced with the decision of whether to leave our troops stranded out there with no money and no body armor, or to vote to make sure they still had MREs. I voted to make sure they could eat and get paid."

I would have liked that answer a lot more.
