The Huckster is done. And he never, ever had a chance. He was the repuke "pet rock" for less than a month, and many here actually feared him. At one point, I must admit, I thought he might get the vp spot, but that changed swiftly when the dirt about him started flowing.

Now he's cutting way back in his FL campaigning. His top campaign advisors are working with no pay. He didn't get any significant boost from his win in Iowa. He couldn't even win what may be the most fundy state of all, SC.

Huckabee has little to no chance of winning FL, and no chance at all if he doesn't win it. Sure, he can stay in through 2/5, but go get that fork and stick it in. He's done.

Huckabee Scales Back Florida Campaign
Ft. Myers

TAMPA - Plagued by an empty bank account, GOP presidential contender Mike Huckabee has cut back his Florida schedule to a bare minimum and may be aiming his campaign at Super Tuesday on Feb. 5 rather than the Sunshine State on Jan. 29.

Nevertheless, his supporters hope for a boost from former supporters of Fred Thompson, who announced Tuesday he's leaving the race.
