18. just as promises don't either. Both are "nice" but neither
can sustain life for very long.

I believe that all the candidates wish they could really accomplish what they say in their campaign promises.

If DK was elected, he'd have to settle for far less on almost every very important-positive plan he has. I believe of all the candidates, his hold the keys to a very positive, healthy America- but that America isn't able to fact this, ..yet.

I think it is important to entertain hope- but to also face reality.

The most vital issues like war, homelessness, starvation, torture, sickness, - abuse etc. must be dealt with, but unless we take that message to each individual American, and give them back the power of their vote, their voice- nothing important will really change.

America needs to face the uncomfortable reality- that we cannot call ourselves "good" or "free" or "united" or "worthy" with any integrity, if we turn a blind eye to those who are in critical need, and continue to allow the wealthy and powerful to feast without conscience by the work of others.

Endorsements are ways for people to build on hope they hear in a candidates message. Not empty hope- but something energizing, someone who helps you understand that with some real effort- this doesn't HAVE to be just another changing of the guard, or futile exercise-

Rather it is an opportunity to help elect someone who can wake us up, dust ourselves off, and help us work toward making some positive- CONSTRUCTIVE- vs. destructive choices and changes.

(off my soapbox)

Thanks for making me think- and question my ..values..

peace~
peace~
