He wasn't boring then, speaking out against the War, and I don't think he's boring now. He was inspiring to us Boomers. But, to each his own. At least he has a modicum of intelligence, unlike a certain GOP candidate for president. I wish McCarthy had gotten the nomination in 1968, not Humphrey (of course, we had the RFK assassination), but Humphrey's boring style would have been a whole hell of a lot better than Nixon's criminality. Dean will still play a large role in shaping this country (he already has).
