9. I think they need him to get Kerry's agenda through Congress.

He has experience in bringing together bitter enemies for the common good. As a non-partisan and as a man people can respect, I think he would do a great job of pushing Kerry's agenda through Congress (which is critical if Kerry hopes to be a successful president).
