60. Clarke is good if you want Obama to fail...
The foundation of OBama's campaign is that he would change politics in D.C., and that he would bring real change to America.

If he names one of Hillary's loyal supporters, like Clarke, he will have made the entire foundation of his campaign a lie, because he would have endorsed by his selection of VP the very politics of Hillary Clinton. OBama would be saying, "Someone who endorsed Clinton's Bush/Rove politics, which go against everything I am campaigning for, is the best choice for the highest position in my administration, the person who will follow me if I die in office."

He might as well choose Hillary if he's going to choose Clarke.

In addition, where is the loyalty from Obama towards the Dem politicans who were loyal to Obama? Shouldn't they be rewarded for standing up to the vindictive Clintons and taking a chance with Obama?

Why reward the filth in the Clinton campaign? What would this be saying to Obama supporters..."Than's for helping me win, but I'm choosing someone who fought against my campaign for my VP."
