42. I'm from NC. He might MAYBE win NC. Here's the thing
we had 30 percent black turn out for the primary and they voted 90 percent for Obama. That's a good start. In the general, because the vast majority of blacks in tihs state are democrat, that will probably be about 15% of the NC vote. Maybe 20% because there will be blacks that did not vote this time around but will vote in the GE. Now we have to hope that Obama does not somehow lose an extra 20% to southern style racism in the state. We also have to hope that he can persuade a few republicans to cross over.

It is a POSSIBILITY that he COULD win NC. Something never all that possible for a Dem in previous years. But I would not say that it is a given he will win NC.

Though I think this is a very interesting topic, and this is the route he needs to go if he wants to become president.
