" ...Clinton cited an Associated Press article "that found how Sen. Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me."

Look the problem is not so much her acknowledgment of her support among whites of lower socioeconomic status, which is true to some degree if not somewhat tacky to bring up the way she did. It's her characterization of "WORKING, HARD WORKING AMERICANS,WHITE AMERICANS." The inference is obvious: that only white Americans are hard working (as only hard working Americans are working). In other words this is straight up Trent Lott at a Strom Thurmond party shit. I'm sure she's going to come out and say she misspoke. Whatever. She was clearly trying to walk on the fence of acceptable racial pandering and wound up taking a BIG misstep over. The Clinton's just seem completely hellbent at this point of screwing up their legacy and nothing more. Shouldn't someone talk them, down from the edge of the bridge?
