38. Same idea, totally different conclusion
and I think it is because I see the general election as wholly different from party concerns. There, and in the WH, even minus any personal mistake or outfallings, Hillary will be a big liability, distraction and easily propped rival to Obama at the whim of the media. She has almost made it easy to go beyond that
ugly fact by some of her less palatable campaign statements. How did Dukais deal with the Jesse Jackson bloc? Not very well either way.

An unethusiastic Dem voter is still a Dem voter. Obama has plenty of ground troups with enthusiasm to make up for such a regrettable loss. His real test is not just eking out the nomination but settling the party leadership scene, consolidating, showing who is in charge(on behalf of the little donors) and not throwing HRC supporters under her and the bus.

The other perspective solves nothing if HRC herself decides at some point to go the other way or merely to retain that capability- which no other Dem is granted- to resume a power contest in some shape or form. he may be forced to make a "brilliant" VP choice and other diplomatic concessions which are more to
cement the party together than get the best choices or the best chances among non-Dems in November. Hillary has way too much say in all these matters and has earned it. So, I know everyone on all sides bget emotional and sentimental ahead of time over various scenarios but we have kept to the trivial tone of ritiual dem suicide for too long to simply bounce back into our bubbly manic stage.

Let's just get to work and have a lot of understanding for the tough situation facing our candidates, ourselves and hey, what about the rest of the world we daily harm?

BTW we will TRY to vote in November and TRY to have our votes counted and HOPE our message gets through to ordinary people like ourselves. We might EXPECT, absent recent memory, the good will triumph. Small luxury for our guesses or feelings in this brutal reality. Anything resembling running to the GOP script in any way shape or form, especially things sympathetic to our own feelings, is a key to our POSSIBLE defeat.
