Emmanuel's political career was mde by the Clintons, but he's an Illinois politician.
No other super delegate in this year's race has been more between a rock and a hard place than Rham Emmanuel.
By calling Obama the presumptive nominee, he's indicted that it is definitely over. He would not risk alienating the people who made him and could break him if the regained the white house. Rham Emmanuel is the single most political animal in teh Democratic Party.
