47. I Don't Think Anyone Is Claiming Sexism is the Sole Reason HC Is Not In the Position BO Is Right Now
Not anyone that's rational, anyway.

Speaking only for myself, my anger is that a) it was used as a tool throughout the season, initially by Obama + his campaign + supporters, and then by his supporters on their own (+ the media) once he wised up to the backlash it was generating; b) those who used it and others who wanted Obama to win continually diminished the complaints of its use and told HC supporters to stop whining; c) the double standard that came along with it.

Anyone who would deny there were sexist and gender-based attacks made on HC, right AND left is wearing blinders, IMO.

If history is written by the victors, and Obama is the victor in this contest, there will be an attempt to white wash the role that sexist and gender-based attacks played in the campaign. As an HC supporter, and as a woman, I'm having none of it. I think that's what the threads the OP is linking to are about, far more along those lines than a demand for an apology.
