I was frankly shocked by that remark. It's not useful.

A commentator on NPR this morning noted that Hillary has won 500,000 more votes than Obama since March 1st (not sure why he chose that date) and won 5 out of the last 7 primaries. Are you willing to throw away all the support she's garnered? It's close to 50% of the Democratic support, not to mention that I heard yeterday (it was an ad for the Nation on Air America) that two-thirds of the Republican and Independent vote has actually been for Obama, not Hillary, meaning that her base includes a lot of longtime party members.
