I am not suggesting that they do, I am just saying that if the DNC has the power to absolve one state of any penalty, then it should have the power to absolve any state of any penalty. Maybe the lawyers are correct and the rules committee by itself can't (unless they are the ones that absolved the four states of their penalty), but there is obviously some entity that had within its power the ability to remove the penalty entirely.

That doesn't bode well for this process ending soon if it takes an entire DNC vote to override the penalty.

BTW, Florida didn't leapfrog any of the four states. I would have thought that would have sunk in by now, as well.
