14. I think that those "snapping up the right wing bait" are those Dems in government now...

That seem to think that being "bipartisan" is to listen more to the right wing folks (not wanting to upset them too much), and basically being pushed into policies that support corporate interests more than average Americans... That's a pretty damn good "right wing bait" strategy as it uses indirect means to get us PO'd at Dem's policies rather than them trying to appeal to us directly without those Dems enabling them to work this strategy...

Perhaps Obama and the Dems should just say:

1) NO to the insurance companies demanding single payer off the table.

2) NO to those not wanting to prosecute the former administration officials for torture and other war crimes!

3) NO to those telecomm companies wanting to be left off the hook for breaking the law when asked by the Bush administration to do so.

4) NO to those banksters wanting tons of money with no controls or accountability to prevent them from stealing that money with bonuses, using it to lobby against the very people's interests that are paying the bills when derailing of meaningful reforms in the form of EFCA bills, the CRAM down bills, the bankruptcy bill cc interest rate caps, etc.

5) NO to those wanting to continue Bush's policies of dismissing civil suits against the government with State Secrets' Privilege.

6) NO to the coal lobbyists trying to rationalize any justification for "Clean Coal" technology.

etc., etc., etc.

instead of "swallowing the right wing bait" and avoiding doing these things in the interests of the people and their constituents, that would leave the Rush Limbaugh's of the world without any leg to stand on...
