26. Supporting Kerry last June was an interesting story
I don't know how many times I was asked when he was going to drop out at Kerry grassroot tabling events.

Also, I'd play videos of Kerry on a laptop last summer and would hear people say "Oh, that's John Kerry..."

My favorite incident was at a tabling event in early December when some cocky Dean supporter came up to the table and said:

"Yunno, when all this is done, we all have to get together. We'll have a party to celebrate and you Kerry people are certainly invited."

At the time, Dean was considered the obvious nominee. Kerry was polling behind CMB in some polls.

I've since met up with the Dean fan and he is totally in the Kerry camp...well sorta. He is totally in the Beat Bush camp and is doing his best to learn about Kerry.

We still debate the IWR vote, but like almost all the people who backed other candidates besides Kerry during the primary season, we all have a hell of a lot in common than not.
