What's with the sign stealing?

Has anyone noticed even more stealing of signs in the past couple of days?

My first sign to be stolen was a No on 8 (about 3 weeks ago). That one, I'm not surprised about. (Since the local office was out of No on 8 signs, I've made a homemade one. I take it in at night now.)
But last night, I had a Durston sign and even a local school board candidate sign taken. Maybe I'm targeted since I have the NO on 8 sign. I find it hard to believe the school board candidate stirs up much emotion in anyone.

I live in a town east of Sacramento, still in Sacramento County.
