He won't run as a Democrat, so I won't vote for him. Gee, I hope that doesn't sound too closed minded. This ain't California and it ain't Minnesota. Those are states with quirky, independent streaks in their voters. I fear Texas voters are all too dependable and mainstream-oriented. You'd have to go back to Pappy Daniels to find a true nonconformist getting into high office in this state (and I say this being a HUGE fan of Ann Richards).

Kinky might make a splash in a little state, but Texans won't go for him. Not unless Perry does something really bad in his personal life.
