18. Yes and No..........
I moved here in 1959, (I know,Old Codger)and I just love this place,people,attitude,climate,political system,friendliness,snow.

I have changed my citizenship to match my philosophy and have never regretted it for a minute. It was like 'coming home'. There are just no words to explain how 'nice' this country is.
I 'left' a huge (or is that hugh, for the 'Southern relations'), Family and now have to be 'blackmailed or bribed' into returning for weddings or funerals. I have such a lovely big extended (friends and) family up here, I don't even think about them (USAians) most of the time, though I do stay in touch. I also send posts from DU just to remind them, of the saner parts of the planet, but with no malice. Hopefully, I use Humour to underscore the differences not the divisions.

I do know that this country is not perfect, 'PM the PM' needs to get a backbone or maybe a 'bone' of some sort. the parlimentry system means that 4 day a week, except when in recess (like now) our leader has to stand up before the cameras and public and explain 'WTF were you thinking'. Wouldn't you like to see bush do that?
Just my view from the 'top of the world' You should come for a visit, we'd love to see you. Meet for coffee at Timmys.
